Job Description (JD)
The General Manager will lead and manage the overall operations, business performance, and strategic growth of the logistics company. The role requires a seasoned logistics professional with proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role in freight forwarding, warehousing, or transport management.
The GM will be responsible for optimizing operational efficiency, improving customer satisfaction, expanding business opportunities, and driving profitability.
1. Operations Management
Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Develop and implement process improvements for cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Ensure compliance with local and international logistics regulations and safety standards.
2. Business Strategy & Growth
Plan and execute business strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Expand the company’s service portfolio and customer base.
Identify partnership and network opportunities to strengthen market position.
3. Financial & Performance Management
Manage budgets, cost control, and operational KPIs.
Monitor financial performance and report to the CEO/Board regularly.
Optimize resources for maximum profitability and efficiency.
4. Team Leadership
Lead, motivate, and develop the management and operations teams.
Build a strong performance-driven culture with accountability and teamwork.
Oversee staff training and capability development in logistics and customer service.
5. Client & Partner Relations
Maintain strong relationships with clients, shipping lines, and transport partners.
Ensure service excellence and timely resolution of customer issues.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in logistics operations, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
Proven track record as Operations Manager or Senior Operations Leader in logistics, freight forwarding, or transport sectors.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Good command of English and Khmer (other regional languages a plus).
Excellent understanding of Cambodian logistics regulations and market dynamics.
