Supervise students and pool users to ensure safe swimming practices.
Enforce all pool rules and school safety policies.
Monitor the pool area continuously to prevent accidents or unsafe behavior.
Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including water rescues.
Provide first aid, CPR, or AED assistance when required.
Conduct routine safety checks of the pool and surrounding facilities.
Assist teachers, coaches, and swim instructors during classes or activities.
Maintain accurate incident and accident reports.
Ensure lifesaving equipment is accessible and in good condition.
Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck and equipment areas.
Current Lifeguard Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., Red Cross or equivalent).
Valid CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Strong swimming and water rescue skills.
Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Experience working with children or in a school environment preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to swim strongly and perform water rescues.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while monitoring the pool.
Ability to lift or assist swimmers during rescue situations.
Work Environment
Indoor or outdoor swimming pool environment.
Exposure to water, humidity, chlorine, and outdoor weather conditions (if applicable).
Requires constant attention to safety and supervision.
Working Hours
Typically during school hours, swim classes, sports practices, and special events.
Occasional evening or weekend supervision may be required.
