Key Responsibilities
- Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, interactive, and child-centered English lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Curriculum Alignment: Implement the school’s international curriculum (e.g., Cambridge Primary, IB-PYP) using creative resources, storytelling, and educational games.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom culture that encourages active participation and emotional growth.
- Assessment & Tracking: Regularly assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide constructive feedback to support individual development.
- Parent Communication: Form strong partnerships with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- School Community: Collaborate with grade-level peers on cross-curricular projects and actively participate in school events, professional development, and extra-curricular activities.
- Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Certification: Valid teaching license/qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., State Teaching License) OR a recognized TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate (minimum 120 hours).
Experience & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience specifically with young learners (Early Years or Primary) in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Language Proficiency: Native or near-native English language proficiency (both written and spoken).
- Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with international frameworks like the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) or Cambridge Primary is highly preferred.
- Tech Savvy: Ability to integrate educational technology and interactive tools (e.g., smartboards, educational apps) into daily lessons.
